THE BLUE LETTER TO RELEASE COLLECTION

Blood & Ink Records will be releasing a digital-only collection from THE BLUE LETTER on March 10th. Available through iTunes, Amazon, and all other digital music providers, the eight track release, entitled With Every Breath Like A Sunset, will feature songs spanning from 2003 to 2007 and include tracks from every release prior to their debut album Prima Facie, released on Blood & Ink Records in 2007. Most of the songs included have previously only been available on vinyl or long out-of-print limited release CDs.

THE RED BARON/TAKE IT BACK! TOUR ANNOUNCED

Blood & Ink Records’ THE RED BARON has announced plans to tour this Spring alongside Facedown Records’ TAKE IT BACK! Kicking off with THE RED BARON’s CD release show on March 20th, the tour will see the bands venturing coast-to-coast and being joined for stints by fellow Blood & Ink band VENIA, THICK AS BLOOD (Eulogy), and BISHOP (Dead Truth/Ferret).

In related news, THE RED BARON’s first proper full-length, My First Love, will be released by Blood & Ink Records on April 7th.

SWAMP THING “IN SHAME” OUT NOW

The debut full length from Richmond, Virginia’s SWAMP THING is out now on 6131 Records! Entitled In Shame, the effort was recorded at Red Planet Studio (Down To Nothing, Bracewar, Scarlet) and mastered by Paul Miner (New Found Glory, Throwdown, Death By Stereo). The band will be venturing nationwide throughout 2008 in support of this release.

6131 Records has announced the details for the forthcoming debut album from Richmond, Virginia’s SWAMP THING. Entitled In Shame, this intense hardcore gem will surely garner attention far and wide and serves as the perfect follow-up to their EP The Youth Is Sick, released by 6131 Records in early 2008. SAD NEWS ABOUT LONG-TIME SUPPORTER

I don’t usually post items of a personal nature, but this seemed too important.

A long-time supporter of Invisible Youth PR, Adrian Bromley, passed away recently. You can read an article from Eye Weekly about this sad news here. Though Adrian and I never met in person, he made a huge impression on me with his kind and professional manner. He will be sorely missed.

YOURS FOR MINE POST NEW SONG ONLINE

With the release of their debut full-length Dear Children quickly approaching, YOURS FOR MINE have posted a second song on their Myspace page. Not surprisingly, the Harrisonburg, Virginia outfit has already been receiving strong positive responses from those who have heard the recording or checked out the previously posted track online.

Dear Children will be available on CD from the band during their December tour and will be distributed digitally (iTunes, SmartPunk, etc.) by Blood & Ink Records starting January 13th.

BLOOD & INK BANDS CONFIRMED FOR SONSHINE

Blood & Ink Records has announced that two bands from their roster, SAINTS NEVER SURRENDER and VENIA, have been confirmed among the first batch of announced bands for the Sonshine Festival 2009. Held during July in Willmar, Minnesota, the festival has always been heralded by fans and bands alike as one of the best events of the year.
